The ICT sector’s adverse effect on the climate and the environment is on the increase. The Finnish Green ICT Ecosystem has launched this website to help organisations minimise their digital carbon footprint. We also want to ensure that everyone who can benefits from the business potential of sustainable digitalisation and technology.
The Green ICT ecosystem is a professional network promoting sustainable ICT services, products and processes in organisations. The ecosystem began operations in Finland on 1 June 2022 and is open to anyone developing or purchasing ICT services or products.

The Green ICT ecosystem is a professional network promoting sustainable ICT services, products and processes in organisations. 

The ecosystem was developed by Finnish NGOs TIEKE and TIVIA and the LUT University as part of the project A Green ICT ecosystem – building sustainability and competitiveness for businesses in the Uusimaa region. The project was funded by the REACT-EU-call from the European structural fund. Funding was granted as part of EU recovery measures to lessen the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
